My Biography
Dr. Zachary Kaplan, PT, DPT, CSCS, TPI-C
I am a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and Strength & Conditioning Specialist committed to helping people move with confidence, strength, and longevity. I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Kinesiology from SUNY Cortland. My career began serving as the Rehabilitation Director at an orthopedic and regenerative medicine clinic, where I collaborated alongside top physicians, medical providers, and performance specialists to guide patients through complex recovery plans.
I have extensive experience treating clients across all ages and backgrounds, from young athletes to active professionals and older adults striving to maintain independence. My athletic population treatment history includes golfers, dancers, rugby players, football and basketball athletes, soccer players, bodybuilders and powerlifters, and equestrian athletes, among others. I am known for creating highly individualized, progressive plans of care that reflect the unique demands, goals, and challenges of each person I work with.
At Physical Therapy by Dr. Zachary Kaplan, every client receives a personalized evaluation and a plan built around evidence-based rehabilitation, strength and conditioning principles, and long-term health and performance strategies. Whether recovering from surgery, overcoming chronic pain, or pushing athletic potential, I help individuals restore movement, improve resilience, and return to what they love — stronger than before.
Why I do this work?
I do this work because movement is foundational to a healthy, capable life. My goal is to help people understand the root of their limitations, rebuild strength through evidence‑based rehabilitation, and develop long‑term strategies that support their goals. Whether it’s post‑surgical recovery, chronic pain, or athletic performance, I’m committed to guiding individuals toward better movement, greater resilience, and a stronger future.
Accomplish Your Goals
I help to develop strength, joint integrity, and movement efficiency that allow you to tolerate load — whether that load comes from a barbell, a job site, a surgical recovery, or a competitive season. Resilience is built, not prescribed.
Through precise evaluation and progressive rehabilitation, you regain mobility, strength, and control — so your body performs reliably under the demands of work, training, and daily life. Confidence isn’t just how you feel. It’s what your body can handle.
From post-operative recovery to performance-driven rehabilitation, every plan is structured to restore capacity, reduce reinjury risk, and elevate long-term durability. You don’t just get out of pain. You regain capability.
