Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to my appointment?

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily is best. Think athletic wear or anything that lets me assess how you move without restriction.

How do I get started with physical therapy?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call. I will walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

How long does a typical session last?

Most sessions last between 30-60 minutes. Your first visit will be longer; evaluations are always an hour; this gives us time talk through your goals.

Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?

You do not need a script to begin therapy; however, if attempting to be reimbursed through insurance they may require one.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone’s situation is different. After your initial evaluation, I’ll give you a general idea of what your plan may look like based on your goals, lifestyle, and how your body responds to treatment.

Will I have exercises to do at home?

Most treatment plans include simple, personalized exercises to support your progress between sessions. I’ll make sure you feel confident performing them and understand how they fit into your recovery.

Insurance and Payment Questions

Do you accept my insurance?

I’m an out‑of‑network provider, which means you pay at the time of your visit. Many clients are able to submit their receipts to their insurance for possible reimbursement, depending on their plan.

Yes. Superbill (upon request) is created after confirming all dates of service (i.e. evaluation and any package follow-ups).

Can you provide documentation for insurance reimbursement?

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash or check, major credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, and ACH payments. Payment is due in full prior to or at the first session of evaluation or follow-up package.

Recovery and Training Questions

How long does it usually take to notice improvement?

Everyone progresses at their own pace. Some people feel changes quickly, while others notice gradual improvements over several sessions. I’ll help you track your progress along the way.

How do you decide which exercises are right for me?

I choose movements based on how your body responds during the session. We focus on exercises that feel safe, build confidence, and support the goals you’ve shared with me.

Will my recovery plan change over time?

Yes, your plan evolves as you do. As you get stronger or your movement improves, we adjust your exercises to match your progress and keep you moving forward.

How often should I do my exercises at home?

Most people benefit from short, consistent practice. I’ll give you a simple routine that fits your schedule and supports the work we do in each session.

Can you help me train for a specific activity or sport?

Absolutely. Whether you’re preparing for a race, returning to the gym, or just wanting to move with more confidence, I can tailor your sessions to support the activities you care about.

What if an exercise feels uncomfortable?

It’s normal to feel new sensations when you’re learning a movement, but you should never feel sharp or alarming discomfort. If something doesn’t feel right, we’ll adjust it together.
